Today's blog post is about an exciting program we put together in a couple days.
Many customers can't do any automatic call recording in the O365 / E5 cloud PBX environment because UCMA or an equivalent is not yet available. Our program team came up with a client side program that auto record calls, and we are giving it away to the community for free. The details are listed below and
can found here on our website
BOC Call Recorder - Free Call Recording for Skype For Business
The BOC Call Recorder is designed to allow automatic client side call recording in Skype for Business and Lync 2013. BOC CR works with both on-prem installs as well as cloud hosted deployments. The BOC Call Recorder is optimized to post call convert audio recordings to MP3 format for maximum storage performance and scalability. In testing, BOC CR typically converts a 600MB, 40 minute conversation, into a 7MB MP3. The BOC Call Recorder works with any Windows Recording Device / Windows Playback Device combination, and mixes the 2 channels into a single file. This flexibility allows it to work with just about modern headset, or phone capable of making itself a system audio device. (Example : Polycom VVX with BTOE Installed and Configured) Users can also start a manual conversation recording in a deployment where you need to record some other soft-phone or non S4B device.

Hi Doug! First up, thanks for a free call recording option! We're testing it out as we have a few clients who are wanting recording ability. Unfortunately, while it does a great job at the client level, i'm having issues getting it to work with BToE on both Polycom VVX 410 and AudioCodes 450HD. both have same behavior, an out audio stream .wav file is created, it hangs at 1k size until I hang up, and then there's nothing. no mp3 compiled, no audio recorded. is there something I'm missing in getting this setup to work with BToE? we have one client in particular that is interested in recording, but they only use plastic phones for making calls, no headsets for the softphone.
ReplyDeleteIn those BTOE instances the audio stream is not flowing through the pc where we can record it. The audio stream is on the phone.
